Last September we investigated the hedgerows around our school. We identified all the plants and insects that we found growing and living in the hedgrows

We were learning about at the different parts of the digestive system, so we decided to recreate it! From mouth to toilet. I think we were lucky, we were wearing masks. |

We investigated if different objects and materials would float or sink.

Making Butter
We took cream, gave it a quick shake and separated it into two parts, butter and buttermilk. Finally we had a taste with some crackers. Delicious! |

The Importance of Bees
We took part in the the Supervalu Save the Bees Campaign. So we decided to learn more about them, the types, how they pollinate, the parts of a bees and why they are so important. We even have created a no mow area in our school and sow wildflowers to attract the bees. Hopefully they will grow as well as they did last year. |
Virtual Speaker- Invisible Worlds with Marty Jopson
As part of Science Week we logged on for a look at some invisible worlds with Marty Jopson. We saw many different insects up close, we saw the hollow hairs on the nettle leaf that sting you and we also saw what human red blood cell actually look like!
