Glorious Geimhreadh
For the month of November pupils in the Senior Room were working on a photography project , with the broad theme of winter . We learned about what was required and how to take a good photo, subject , light, angle etc.
Then we put what we had learned into practice and got snapping with those phones and tablets, none of those old fashioned cameras for us! :)
The results were fantastic! Check out all the brilliant photos below ⬇

Swan's Lake 2021
Oran O'Neill I took this picture because I was going for a walk and thought it was going to be a lovely photo. The picture is of a swan that is swimming in the lake in Dromineer County Tipperary. I like this picture because I think that the white of the swan is very vibrant to the black of the lake. |
Bird Of The Shannon 2021
Jamie O’Malley I took this photo of a Robin at the River Shannon when I caught this bird sitting on a ledge, since I did not have a phone or tablet on me I swiftly grabbed my mothers phone and snapped the picture. Notes: I caught this picture in Killaloe when me, my aunt, my nana, and my mother went to feed the ducks. After I took the picture the robin made a nest. |
The Nosy Chicken 2021
Eoin Earle This hen wandered in front of the camera while I was taking the photo. I think it’s Ent or Ella [two of my five chickens]. I took this photo on Saturday in the afternoon. The chicken at the side wasn’t meant to be in the photo, as I said she just wandered in. I was going to take a picture of my favourite chicken and I didn’t notice her coming in to the camera view, but it turned out really funny. I took it in my backyard chicken pen. |
Burn 2021
Cian Earle I took this picture when I was coming in from a walk. I nearly forgot about my photo project until I saw my fire burning brightly and I went inside and took my photo. Then I went back out and took some spares. But overall I preferred my first one.And I just like the way that my fire shone through the dark |
The Mystical Eve 2021
Reuben Bhandar Hello! I hope this photo brings some satisfaction to your head, like it did to ours. This photo was captured, just above a dry ditch in a late hour. It was difficult to gain a good shot of a majestic sky, but whatever you believe, you can achieve. As you can see, this magnificent shot of what the World’s beauty can bring to us when we truly appreciate our surroundings turned out very well. You can do this too! Farewell! |

The Morning Crow 2021
Lillie McLoughlin
This picture was taken on a Monday morning at my house.
The reason why I picked this picture is because I thought it was a nice background setting for the photo.
In the picture there is a crow sitting on a washing link.
