Maths
Maths around our School!
The boys and girls use maths daily while gardening to ensure plants are provided with enough water and tomato feed for growth!
Active Walkway
Pupils in the senior classes measured the length of our Active Walkway!
Symmetry Art
The Senior Room explored symmetry in art by creating a mirror image with paint and a folding technique!
Maths Trail round our School!
First and Second Class had great fun around our school grounds engaging with a maths trail. They searched for 2D and 3D shapes around our school e.g. a cylindrical tree stump, a wooden rectangular beam of about 1 metre in length, a painted square chalkboard etc. The pupils also measured the length of the shed and flower beds using hand spans and strides.
Construction
First and Second class integrated maths into their construction play. They noted various 3D shapes when building e.g. cube and cuboid. The boys and girls aimed to build structures with a height of more than one metre.
Pattern and Shape Exploration
Here are some examples of pattern and shape hunts that the pupils engaged with while learning from home.
